AMA Saves Lives / Donate Life Tables


AMA will be having tables with a donate life organization Monday-Friday in the Union and Coleman to spread awareness for organ donation.

Baked goods will be given out to those who register to be an organ donor, and people will be able to register for the AMA competition at computers at the tables.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Guest Speaker


The American Marketing Association will be sponsoring a guest speaker on Wednesday, December 7th at 5:00 p.m. in Lumpkin Hall 2030. Robert Berdelle is a Regional Talent Acquisition Manager from Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Mr. Berdelle will be discussing how to prepare for a job search including tips on researching, resumes, career fairs, and interviewing.

Attire is casual and all majors are welcome.

Doudna Fine Arts Center is looking for students interested in arts marketing!
You will learn and assist with all aspects of marketing for a fine arts center. You will also get experience setting up and running theatrical performances, music concerts, and various events.

Crew Member- Marketing Specialization

Jimmy John's and Meeting on 10/18

Speaker: Jared Gelfond from Medix Staffing

Jared Gelfond from Medix Staffing will be speaking Sept. 21 from 6:30-7:30 pm in room LH 1030. The presentation will focus on his position at Medix, how he got started, the challenges he has faced, and marketing in general.

  • Members will receive 1 point for attending.

    • Partnering with Lakeview College of Nursing, to collect lifesaving blood donations and register individuals for Be The Match Registry

    Outstanding Regional Chapter of the Year!

    At the 50th Annual Marketing Conference held in St. Louis in February of 2011, EIU's AMA chapter was awarded the Dik Twedt AMA Student Chapter Award, for the second consecutive year.  This is the top award at the conference and recognizes the EIU American Marketing Association student chapter as outstanding in all areas, including Membership Activities; Professional Development; Communications; Community Service; Fundraising; and Chapter Planning, Organization, and Control of Operations. This award is a major accomplishment and is clearly a reflection of all of the hard work of the student officers and active members in the EIU American Marketing Association student chapter. Thanks for making this a great year!

    Northwestern Mutual Financial Network Field Trip

    AMA will be taking a field trip to Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in Champaign, IL on Monday February 21st. We will be leaving the EIU student union at 8:30am and will return by 4pm. We will be participating in an employee training session and lunch will be provided. Professional business attire required and bring your resume.

Jennifer will be discussing her background in advertising (5 years).  She will also touch upon consumer Packaged Goods Brand Management and Innovation for companies like Unilever (Knorr, Lawry's Hellmann's, All, Dove, Axe), Constellation Brands (multiple wine brands and spirits) and now, MillerCoors (MGD, MillerLite, Coors, Peroni, Blue Moon, Batch 19, etc).
